The main outside work last summer was a renovation of a wooden facade in Nõmme, on Liiva street. It is an old house built of horizontal logs covered mainly with vertical board. Previously we have renovated the plastered facade of the funkhouse in the same yard in 2011 and made the interior works in 2012.
As usual for the wooden facades, we started the works with cleaning the old facade board. The boards that were in very bad condition or unsuitable were replaced with similar ones to the original. We repaired the boards and painted them with linseed oil paint. We repaired the logs of the first row and replaced the water board above the basement and covered it with sheet metal.
In addition we painted the two main doors of the house and we renovated the basement door. We restored the forged roofs above the doors according to the old drawings. The roof works were made by Katusefirma OÜ.
